Historical Harrison House Going Green

Harrison House built in 1942

Geneva Harrison used her home to house notable black entertainers due to the segregated Las Vegas strip.

Organized August 14, 2007, The Las Vegas Ward 5 Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to the growth and progress of the community. Together, the business and professional men and women of the Chamber promote the civic, commercial and industrial development of our community. The area's economic well being is directly related to the caliber of work that is done by the Ward 5 Chamber.

We're restoring the Historic Harrison House for use as a model green home. The Harrison House was built in 1942 as a home for famous entertainers during segregation in Las Vegas. The Harrison House is managed by African American military veterans.
